Dan was 5-0 and Mark was 4-1 vs the spread last weekend. Here are our Week 3 picks:
Dan (3-1 Top 2 Pics, 7-3 Overall): San Diego -9 vs NY Jets;Pats & Miami under 36.5 total pts
Mark (3-1 Top 2 Pics; 7-2 Overall): Tenn -5 vs Houston Texans;Denver -5.5 vs Saints
SD -9 vs Jets – Chargers are beside themselves after losing on last play of game vs Carolina and getting hosed vs Denver last week by a bad ref call. At 0-2, this is almost a must game for SD. Jets did not look impressive in win over Miami and loss to Pats. Fired up Bolts could win big. LT bothered by toe but Darron Sproles looked awesome vs Broncos.
Denver -5.5 vs New Orleans – Denver was lucky with a blown call in win over SD but still played well. New Orleans lost to Washington, luckily beat the Bucs and their defense is nicked up. Denver leads the NFL in yardage with 463.5 yards per game and has great receivers with Marshall and Royal. WR Marcus Colston out for Saints.
Tenn Titans -4.5 vs Houston – Titans are 2-0 with Houston 0-1. Houston was forced to take a bye week last week due to a hurricane. Backup QB Kerry Collins has replaced Vince Young, which is an improvement. Dominating defense and running game should overpower Texans.
Philly -3 vs Pittsburgh – Pitt QB Roethlisberger has ailing sprained/separated shoulder. Philly offense has been clicking on all cylinders even without leading receivers thanks to play of DeSean Jackson. Pitt D is a little banged up.
Patriots and Dolphins to score less than 36.5 points total. Patriot defense will continue to step up at home and keep Miami out of the endzone. Pats offense will be conservative and run ball to avoid turnovers. Final score 16-6 Pats.
