A lot of 1st’s have happened lately. Much of it tragic unfortunately.
My 1st cousin and “Class Act” Kurt Areano passed away at the early age of 45,
New England Patriots QB Tom Brady is injured for the 1st time and out for season,
I’m having my 1st losing calendar year in the stock market since I started investing,
and we likely lost for the 1st time one of our Belforti Bros Picks of the Year. (Patriots to win more than 12.5 games)
As a fan, I’ll be routing for Matt Cassel in his 1st start since 1999 but I’m afraid the Patriots will find that he is not TheCorrectAnswer.com to coming in 1st at Super Bowl 43.
Please, Brady, come back strong and fresh in 2009 to write the closing chapters of your brilliant, storied Hall of Fame career. Proud that my blog presently comes up 1st on a google search of 2007 NFL MVP Tom Brady (probably in part because I 1st predicted Tom would win his 1st MVP last August after the Moss/Welker acquisitions). Ironically, former Pats coach Charlie Weiss just tore his MCL and ACL! Crazy times we’re living in now, or is it just me?
Week 2 Picks: Not sure. Which is also a 1st !! But here are our best shots…
Belforti Bros Top 2 Picks of the Week:
Dan (1-1 Top 2, 2-3 Overall YTD): New England Patriots/NY Jets under 37; Tenn+1 at Cinci
Mark (2-0 Top 2; 3-1 Overall YTD): Tenn +1 at Cinci; Pittsburgh -6 at Cleveland
Others we like: Denver +1.5 vs San Diego; Greenbay -3 at Detroit; Carolina -3 at Chicago; Buffalo +5.5 at Jacksonville
Submit your top 2 picks vs the spread in the comments section below. Winner at end of season, if not one of the Belforti Bros, wins a pair of Dan’s 2009 Patriots Tickets!

Brian Blanchette was documented last week on LeftRightAndCorrect.com with Dan Belforti & Friends during radio show at 2-1 vs spread (Buff over seattle, TB/NO over 42, Minn at Green Bay). Week 2, he likes Jax-4.5 vs Buffalo and Seattle-7 vs S.F.
Congrats to Blanchette for an MVP performance in Dover yesterday with 3 interceptions and multiple TDs caught and thrown in the dominating 70-28 defeating of Team Chris/Plante/Mark & Mark Belforti by Team Belforti/Blanchette/Boshar/Fellman.
Even after trading Rob Boshar for my brother Mark, we STILL won that 2nd game by a score of 21-0. (no difference in athletic ability between them apparently). Congrats to the undefeated team of the Belforti Bros, Blanchette and Adam Fellman (all Football Fan email recipients).
