Sportscenter 5 Anchor Mike Lynch checks back in with his seacoast roots (Phillips Exeter Academy) on this Friday’s edition of LeftRightAndCorrect.com with Dan Belforti & Friends between noon and 1pm on Portsmouth Community Radio, 106.1 FM in Portsmouth.
As was the case last year, Lynchie and Dan will give their predictions on the upcoming Patriots season prior to their first game this weekend in Foxboro. Another undefeated regular season and NFL MVP for Tom Brady as was predicted by Dan last year? And as always, comments on current political events are up for discussion.

What NOW w/o Brady!!!

Ironically, I brought that question up to Mike Lynch on the show Friday and he agreed with me that backup QB is a weakness. Lynch predicted that Vinnie Testaverde would get the call from Belichick. I wondered if our Doug Flutie is keeping in shape.
The 2007 Patriots were one of the best teams ever. The similar 2008 version is without the best QB in NFL history. Although Asante Samual will be missed, the defense will be very solid and the running back stable is best in team history.
Instead of another 18-1 masterpiece, I’d predict more like 10-6 and an early playoff exit. As a fan, I hope Matt Cassel makes me and other self proclaimed experts eat our words and pull off a repeat of 2001.
