The New England Patriots are the best team in history, the Super Bowl 41 Champion Indianapolis Colts are just another speed bump; Pats 46, Colts 20. The Belforti Bros flying down to witness the inevitable beating of the former champs to regain our AFC Championship trophy (seen pictured in Indy last Jan).

Reasons this game will be dramatically different than last January’s 34-38 loss? Let me count the ways: Offense: Randy Moss, Wes Welker, Stallworth and a healthy Maroney. On defense: Adalius Thomas, Rodney Harrison & Junior Seau. And no flu this time around.

Web designer Lance Jonn Romanoff, brother Mark and I agree on this 3 team Parlay of the Week: Pats-3.5 up to -7, Chargers-7 at Minn, Redskins-3.5 at NY Jets.

    Dan,

This week I’ve got a three team parlay. Redskins -4 over the Jets, Chargers -8 over the Vikings, and Patriots -6 over the Colts.

    Your thoughts?

    Go Pats…

    Keys of the game:

    Brady to Stallworth
    Dallas Clark vs Thomas/Harrison/Merriweather

Look for Pats to play lots of zone under coverages with Samuel and Hobbs…you’ll even see mix zone/man coverage with Samuel playing more zone than Hobbs.

    Enjoy the game.

Maybe this is something everyone else has already considered, but it only just occurred to me today. With all the talk of the Patriots running up the score against the Redskins (a charge I find absurd), perhaps the reason for giving the Redskins such a beating was a deliberate attempt to humiliate them so they’d take out their frustrations on the Jets a week later.

Far fetched maybe, but worth thinking about. In any event, I’m pretty confident in taking the Redskins this weekend.

I’m confident in the Redskins in that they are playing against a rookie QB in Kellen Clemens. My theory is that The Pats threw up 49 on Dolphins and 52 on the Skins so as to make the 46 or so they throw up vs the Colts doesn’t look like they ran up the score. It’s just what the best offense in the history of the NFL is trained to do. They score touchdowns. If you don’t understand that, you probably are a journalist that never played the game or an insecure former player that envies the best team ever. Greatness carries a price, Belichick, Brady & Pats, get used to it.

Last time I checked the Redskins pay Joe Gibbs more than 4million a year to coach a winning team…you can’t beat what you can’t stop…when did Pro Athletes become 5th graders?
RUN THE SCORE UP ON THE COLTS!

Great game. I’m trying not to be too vexed by the fact that they could have covered and ran the clock out instead.

Pats were hosed on two Pass Interference Calls…Ellis Hobbs especially, it is a shame that the Refs had to call such ticky tack calls. Our offense did not play well until the 4th quarter. The last two drives were amazing, not sure why they couldn’t muster something like that in the first 3 quarters. A win is a win, and the Pats are 9-0 going into their Bye week!

    Great game.

During the bad call on Hobbs the announcers brought up the pass interference call against Hobbs from last year’s Patriots/Colts game, without mentioning that league official Dean Blandino later admitted it was a bad call. Not surprising since the announcer who brought it up, Phil Simms, was mistaken about last year’s call when he was announcing that game.
